JEET KUNE DO (JKD) was Bruce Lee's Martial Art which focuses on the Simplest, Most Direct, non - classical approach to maximising one's expression in a NO RULES Self Defense situation.
Original Jeet Kune Do as taught by Tommy Carruthers has great emphasis on understanding Simplicity and Directness. This results in minimal movement, maximum speed and maximum effect in the tools that we train.
Tommy Carruthers has over 30 years experience in the martial arts which includes training in military self-defence techniques (taught to him by his father), Judo, Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, Karate, boxing, Ving Tsun (four years with Nino Bernardo's clan), Non-Classical Gung Fu and finally Jeet Kune Do.
Today, Tommy chooses to dedicate himself to preserving JKD as he knows it.
Participants are reminded that no photography or video of any sort is permitted during the seminar. Anyone caught breaking this rule will be gently escorted out of the seminar with no refunds.
